Project: 2020 Southeastern Designer Showhouse at Villa Flora

The 2020 Southeastern Designer Showhouse at Villa Flora is located on six private, wooded acres on one of the most sought-after properties in the Buckhead neighborhood in Atlanta, GA. Renovated in 2020 by developers Benecki Homes, SOURCE, Linda MacArthur Architect and LandPlus, the 11,000 square foot fully renovated home emphasizes livable, functional spaces with luxurious detailing. Featuring a lime washed exterior, an open floorplan, Venetian plaster walls, imported French oak flooring, and handcrafted Moroccan tile, the home now references an easy California style. Privately gated and secure, the grounds include a tennis court, new outdoor pool with a striking sunken fire pit and surrounding seating, grill patio, art-deco sculptures, and walking trails. A warm terrace level features a 700 bottle wine cellar, indoor lap pool and spa, massage and exercise rooms. More than 15 of the Southeast’s top interior designers have transformed the interiors of this inspiring, light-filled residence.
Peacock Pavers was proud to be chosen by Benecki Homes and his team to surround the magnificent exterior pool and terrace. They worked with the Benecki team and LandscapePlus to create a custom color for the project. Vern Vanderkleed of Benecki Homes stated, “We have installed Peacock Pavers in over 50 homes, starting in the mid ’90s. Peacock Pavers have been an economical, durable alternative to stone products. We have seen other alternatives in the market, but keep using Peacock Pavers. The others do not match their beauty. We enjoy the flexibility to combine sizes and make custom pieces and colors. Many of the alternatives become unreasonably expensive when you customize.“
Proceeds from the Showhouse went to the Atlanta History Center a 33-acre experience in Buckhead featuring award-winning exhibitions, historic houses, enchanting gardens, interactive activities and a variety of year-round adult and family programs.
